School Timetable

For all full time children the school teaching day begins at 8.45am.

A teacher is on duty from 8.35am on the school grounds. Children should arrive from this time to allow them to be ready for the start of school.

School starts/Registration is at 8:45am

Anyone arriving after 8.45am will have to go through the main school reception area so we can contact parents of those regularly late to school. Thank you for your cooperation and your support in putting learning first.

Lessons start promptly at 8.45am.
Lunchtime: 12.15pm – 1.15pm.
School finishes at 3:15 pm.

Typical week total 32.5 hours.

BREAKFAST CLUB

The school also offers a breakfast club facility. This opens at 8am. Children are offered a variety of cereals, milk, toast/crumpets  with various toppings (subject to availability).

There are a number of activities for the children. There are always two members of staff on duty. The present cost is £4.00 per child per day, which must be paid either on the day or prior to attendance. Pre booking is not required, children merely present themselves at the Extended School Room.

NURSERY

Children attend the Nursery either in the morning of the afternoon:

Morning sessions: 8.40am-11.40am

Afternoon sessions: 12.00pm-3.00pm

Full time places:  8.40am-3.00pm with lunch from 11.30am-12.00 noon

HOLIDAYS

There are 190 statutory school days in one year. That means there are 175 days (weekends & school holidays) available to use for holidays!

There is no entitlement to time off in school time to go on holiday.

Headteachers cannot authorise any leave in term time unless there are exceptional circumstances. ALL holidays will be unauthorised.

Any period taken without agreement of the school, or in excess of that agreed, will be classed as unauthorised and will generate a Penalty Notice.

A 2 week holiday in school time means your child has approximately 50 hours of missed work to catch up on! Penalty Notices will be issued.

Some parents choose to book holidays during term time because it is more convenient for them or perhaps better value than at other times.

We understand that everybody deserves a holiday but NOT at the expense of your child’s education.

Click Holidays-in-Term-time-Flyer for more information and the form that you can use to request permission. However, it’s important to note that such permission is very limited and consequently very rarely granted.
