After a fun-filled festive period we welcome all the children back to school. We hope that with lots of hard work and support from families we will secure a hugely successful start to 2018.
The spring term is a key part of the academic year as we approach the national statutory test period. With this in mind it is essential that children are in school on time, every day.
Even a one days absence can mean your child misses key learning. Children can find the national tests quite stressful so it is essential that we prepare them as well as we can so that their confidence is high.
We do this through the lessons in school, test preparation activities, homework and booster sessions. As parents/carers, your support is a fundamental part of this.
Please make sure your child is completing all their homework and reading at least 3 times a week. Let class teachers know if they have any particular difficulties, worries or concerns.
Last year we had record results under the new testing system. With your help, we hope to meet or exceed them this year.
