Y2 SATs Celebrations!
Following on from the newsletter last week outlining the outstanding success of our Year 6 children, I would like to congratulate the Year 2 children who have also taken their SATs assessments this year. It is my pleasure to announce that these children have also exceeded our expectations and worked hard to achieve higher results than in previous years. Please refer to the provisional results below.
I am thrilled with the improvements, especially in reading, which has increased by 10% since last year. In addition, 23% of the children achieved the higher level of attainment in reading. This is a significant improvement on last year and for the first time we had children achieve the ‘greater depth’ level in writing. This is a fantastic achievement for the children who have tried their best and applied themselves so well this year. I would also like to acknowledge the staff who have worked diligently to ensure your children are receiving the best possible education. Thank you to all parents who have supported us and worked in partnership with the school. This helps to make these results possible.
